In 1973, welcomed by the Western Art Associates, the CAA Sale & Exhibition moved to Phoenix Art Museum. The Men's Arts Council put on the show. Anxieties over changes in sponsor, site and leadership were dispelled on opening night. The CAs displayed a record 134 works of art and sales totaled an all-time high of $276,850, compared to a total of $157,000 the previous year in Oklahoma City.
